Sewer overflows into waterways reduce

Repairs to damaged Pump Station 57 at McCormacks Bay were completed last week. This means wastewater from Sumner, Redcliffs and Ferrymead – which has been released into the estuary since February – is once again being sent to the Christchurch Wastewater Treatment Plant.
