Submissions

People who have filed an expression of interest in the Commission's investigation into building failure caused by the Canterbury earthquakes are able to make submissions on issues that arise under the Commission's te rms of reference.

The evidence and submissions received will be published on this website, unless any party satisfies the Commission that there are compelling reasons not to do so.

Issue 1: Seismicity

The Commission has published a report from GNS Science and requested evidence or submissions relating to this report and/or the issue of seismicity:

1a. New Zealand's geological setting
1b. Seismological model for New Zealand, and in particular for Canterbury
1c. The nature and severity of the Canterbury earthquakes

Submissions and evidence should be provided in electronic form by Friday 30 September 2011.
