EQC will pay claims

This morning the Minister of Finance announced that EQC’s liability from the Canterbury earthquakes has increased by $4 billion to about $7 billion.

EQC Chief Executive Ian Simpson said today’s announcement does not affect homeowners’ claims, which EQC will continue to pay in full.
