An Australian website,  theconversation.edu.au , has an article about the recent Victorian earthquake. It discusses how Australia is more prone to earthquakes than many may think, looks at the history of earthquakes in Australia, current research being carried out there, and makes a few comparisons with the Canterbury earthquakes.
