A celebration is planned for noon Saturday September 1 to launch Addington Action's new base of operations.

The base will have a well equipped workshop to be used by volunteers to repair uninsured homes, an office and canteen and will also be the base for the packing centre of the Christchurch South Fruit & Veggie Co-op.

Supporters are welcome to attend the opening.
