What’s with the water in our rivers?
Next Saturday 24 May, 2pm – 4:30pm
Wainoni Methodist Church 878 Avonside Drive (opp. Porritt Park)
An important public forum on water quality issues run with the support of Canterbury Water’s local Zone Committee.
Come along and tell us what you think about the quality of the water in our rivers and how it affects you and your family – whether you use it for sport, recreation, fishing, whitebaiting, bird-watching, feeding the ducks or just strolling alongside with your kids or the dog.
Hear about what is being done about the problems and what more can be done. This is your chance to tell those in a position to influence policy, what you want to see happen.
But don’t wait for the forum you can start now, fill out the on-line survey here - all feedback received will be collated and used to inform proposals for change.
The more feedback received, the greater the chance the voice of the community will be heard!
Avon-Ōtākaro Network’s latest Newsletter is out now and can be found here.
In this issue we outline what we have been up to, where to find information about proposals for the red zone and how you can provide your feedback on these.
