In celebration of its last Christmas in the heart of the city, Re:START Mall is spreading the festive cheer this season with its family fun late shopping and movie nights.
On Thursday and Friday nights in the two weeks leading up to Christmas, Re:START Mall will stay open to 9pm, ensuring Christchurch shoppers can squeeze in any last-minute gift buying at their favourite Re:START stores, or simply enjoy the evening’s festivities, which include the screenings of classic Christmas movies Fred Claus, Arthur Christmas, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Elf, along with the opportunity to try out their new Kiwiplay children’s playground the Re:START Play:ZONE. Movies start at 6:30pm and film goers are advised to bring their own cushion, while additional food trucks including Kettle Corn, Mamacita’s taco truck, Vagabond Chefs and more will boost Re:START Mall’s already diverse and delicious food offerings.
Shoppers are also encouraged to take up the two hours of free parking offered in the new The Crossing parking building, handily located on the corners of Colombo and Lichfield Streets, between 9am – 6pm over the holiday season.
Sharing the love in the heart of the city for the last 5 years, Re:START Mall has grown from being a genius way for small businesses to re-establish themselves in the city – via a collection of shipping container conversions into funky boutiques – to a world-famous shopping centre close to the hearts of Cantabrians and visitors alike. Anchored by Ballantyne’s department store, Re:START Mall sports an enviable collection of gift stores and leading fashion retailers nestled among plenty of tasty, ready-to-eat offerings and some of the city’s best coffee.
