Riccarton House Bistro Gets Into It
Riccarton House Bistro and Taste Events is owned and operated by chefs Jamie Bennett and Sam Marchant. Operating since 2004 from Riccarton House this business has gone from strength to strength and has become known as one of Christchurch’s premiere event companies either in house or at a venue of your choice. The Christchurch Farmers Market every Saturday morning 9am – 12noon and Feast of Canterbury Festival held in September every year were both initiated by Sam and Jamie and have grown over the years to be extremely popular events. The Feast magazine is published 4 times a year by Taste Events and celebrates the Christchurch cuisine scene. The Sunday Artisan Market is an up and coming event every Sunday from 11am – 3pm.
From weddings to 50th birthday parties to corporate lunch’s Taste Events can cater for your next event. Riccarton House Bistro has been operating from the permanent marquee at the front of the house since February 2011 and we continue to use this most pleasant venue for all functions, events and of course the ever popular Christchurch Farmers Market and Sunday Artisan Market.
We are looking forward to moving back into the house when repairs have been completed sometime in 2013. Until then our lovely marquee is a very viable alternative as a venue. With full lighting and heating, interior landscaping and our professional staff and exceptional food Riccarton House Bistro remains a lovely venue for functions and events.
Riccarton House Bistro welcomes any queries regarding your next function be it a wedding for 200 people in December or a midwinter dinner for 20 in July. Our dedicated and experienced function coordinator works with you every step of the way to ensure your event runs perfectly and is completely stressfree. Riccarton House Bistro is excited to be able to offer this alternative venue to Christchurch to help with event requirements at a time when so many venues are out of action.
