Deon is the founder of rebuildchristchurch.co.nz After the September 4th earthquake in 2010, Deon conceived of and established the site as a personal reflection of his experience. Soon afterwards Deon identified that there was a need for the public to be able to access relevant and helpful information which could be found in one place, and which was updated frequently. This is where the idea for the site you see today was born. Deon who is studying for a Bachelor of Applied Management with CPIT is currently working full-time on Rebuild Christchurch bringing together all of the online earthquake related communities, and having information relevant to them published in the one place – www.rebuildchristchurch.co.nz The relationships established also include offline agencies and organizations, where there is a need for them to be able to share information as well. This work is continuously ongoing which brings new material to the site and the general city rebuild efforts every day.
Ben is the owner of Minutepast2, a successful web development company. Ben joined the Rebuild Christchurch team in May 2011 to assist in the development and roll out of the new web platform which makes rebuildchristchurch.co.nz so unique in the way it works. The site development is ongoing as new opportunities regularly arise as a result of the recovery work being carried out in and around Christchurch. Ben’s hard work in developing the site has resulted in rebuildchristchurch.co.nz becoming the one stop shop for earthquake recovery and rebuild information. His dedication to continually improving the site has been a big part to its success.
