Pages Road transformation taking shape

Residents and commuters in east Christchurch are soon to enjoy one of the smoothest rides in Christchurch along Pages Road in Aranui.
SCIRT is making good progress with its final road and wastewater works on the main route into New Brighton.
The road is being restored and resealed with asphalt after several major wastewater projects along that road over the past three years.
Kerbs, channels and footpath repairs are also in full swing along stretches of the road.
The laying of a new section of wastewater main pipe which collects wastewater from New Brighton homes has been completed and the road over the top of that between Portchester Street and Anzac Drive is now being rebuilt.
Storm water repairs are also under way near Anzac Drive.
Pages Road will continue to be one-way, heading into town, while the road works are completed, expected to be before Christmas.
