Works Status

This note is to advise you that our crew will be working along New Brighton Road, to decommission* the ‘old’ gravity wastewater system. The stages of work is scheduled to be underway for two nights only, starting Wednesday 1 Feburary 2017. This work will take place between the hours of 6.00 pm and 6.00 am within the manhole.

Please refer to map 1 below, for the area of work. This work is scheduled to take place at night when traffic flow is at its lowest.

Traffic impact:

A one-way traffic system will be in place along these sections of New Brighton Road while the work is underway. Please lookout for changes to the traffic management and please follow our traffic signage.

On street parking will not be available immediately next to the work area, “no parking” cones will be in place, to show this.

What to expect:

There will be low level of noise generated by the sealing work being undertaken, machinery movements and the crew working at this time.

You may notice some extra light coming from the street, this is because our crew need good lighting to    carry out the work efficiently.

We understand that night works are more disruptive for residents, so we will complete the work as quickly as we can.  Bydoing the work at night, we will reduce traffic delays for local commuters.
