Coopers Road - Dallington - Wastewater replacement
||28 May 2012
||09 Jul 2012
We are replacing the main wastewater pipe and connecting private laterals on Coopers Road. This work will be done in two stages, with the first stage of work being east of Bampton Street and the next stage being west of Bampton Street. Work will begin on 28 May 2012.
The red dashed line on the map above shows the construction location, with the black arrow showing the direction of construction. The yellow shaded area shows the area where traffic management will be in place. Traffic will be controlled by a one way priority traffic flow system. Signage will be in place (as shown above).
Work will start on 28 May 2012 and continue until the first week of July. Approximately 5 weeks.
When Stage 1 is completed, Stage 2 will begin.
A stop go system will be in place at the Bampton Street intersection and the Strathfield Avenue intersection.
Stage 2 works will involve renewing the pipes that are already in place.
This stage should also take 5 weeks, starting in July. We will send out an update when this stage is due to start.
Access to your property:
Drive way access will be restricted for some residents, when work is outside their property. Access will always be made available in the evening.
Please contact us if you have any specific access requirements that we need to consider e.g. Nurse Maude, Meals on Wheels or other planned works on your property.
We need to enter private properties in the affected work area to connect resident’s laterals from their property boundary to the repaired wastewater pipeline.
An access and restoration agreement has been sent to affected residents. We require property owners to complete and sign this. Without the affected owners consent we will be unable to carry out any work on your property to connect your wastewater line to the Council owned wastewater line. Please return the completed form to the McConnell Dowell Infrastructure Rebuild Teamby Friday 8 June 2012. You can call us on free phone 0508 718 719 when the form is complete and we will arrange for it to be collected from you.
General impacts of the work:
This work will take place during the hours of 7:00am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday and it may be necessary for some weekend work to take place. The work (Stages 1 and 2) are expected to be finished by mid August 2012.
The work will result in some noise and dust if there are dry weather conditions.
The work will not impact on current power, wastewater or gas services. However we may need to request residents to restrict their wastewater use for a short period while we are connecting their lateral to the wastewater main.
All works are subject to favourable weather and on-site construction conditions.
During the period of construction, we ask that you observe special cordons around construction areas for you and your family’s safety.
For any other information about this work, please contact the McConnell Dowell Infrastructure Rebuild Team between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday on free phone 0508 718 719. Any emergency calls made outside these hours will be diverted to a Site Engineer.
We will endeavour to keep any disruptions to a minimum. We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we do this work.
