Coopers Road - Dallington - Wastewater replacement *UPDATE*

Repair to the wastewater pipe and laterals is continuing on Coopers Road. From 9 July 2012, work will start on the next section of Coopers Road, between Gayhurst Road and 49 Coopers Road. These works are expected to be completed by mid-August 2012.
We will continue repairing the wastewater pipe and lateral pipes in this section from outside 57 Coopers Road heading west to 49 Coopers Road.
This work will be done at the same time as Stage One, and will also involve the repair of the wastewater pipe and private lateral pipes.
Stage Two runs from the intersection of Gayhurst Road and Coopers Road west to 67 Coopers Road.
Traffic flow during works:
Coopers Road will be reduced to one lane (west bound) during this work. Traffic will be controlled by a priority give way system.
Due to the current works on Gayhurst Road, the road closure system that is in place at the intersection of Gayhurst Road and Coopers Road will remain active until work is completed at both sites.
Stages One and Two are due to be completed by mid-August 2012.
Access to your property:
Driveway access will be restricted for some residents, when work is directly outside their property. Access will always be made available in the evening.
Please contact us if you have any specific access requirements that we need to consider e.g. Nurse Maude, Meals on Wheels or other planned works on your property.
We may need to enter private properties in the affected work area to connect resident’s laterals from their property boundary to the repaired wastewater pipeline.
An access and restoration agreement will be enclosed with this works notice for affected residents. We require property owners to complete and sign this. Without the property owners consent we will be unable to carry out any work on your property to connect your wastewater line to the Council owned wastewater line. Please return the completed form to us by Friday 13 July 2012. You can call us on free phone 0508 718 719 when the form is complete and we will arrange for it to be collected from you.
General impacts of the work:
This work will take place during the hours of 7:00am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. It may be necessary for some weekend work to take place.
The work will result in some noise and dust if there are dry weather conditions.
The work will not impact on current power, telecommunications, wastewater or gas services. However we may need to request residents to restrict their wastewater use for a short period while we are connecting their lateral to the wastewater main.
All works are subject to favourable weather and on-site construction conditions.
During the period of construction, we ask that you observe special cordons around construction areas for you and your family’s safety.
