Woodham Road and Linwood Avenue – Linwood – Wastewater *UPDATE*

Wastewater renewal work will continue for approximately 13 weeks at the intersection of Linwood Avenue, Avonside Drive and Woodham Rd.

Lane closures and traffic management will be in place.

  • Patten Street is closed to all traffic except residents. Patten street is a MacDow Fletcher project for SCIRT [1].
  • The northern (southeast bound) lane of Linwood Avenue between Avonside Drive and Brittan Street is closed.
  • The southern (west bound) lane of Woodham Road between England Street almost to Ngarimu Street is closed.
  • For through traffic, detours are in place and signed.

  • The works at the intersection of Linwood Avenue, Avonside Drive and Woodham Road will begin Tuesday 7 February. We will be working Monday to Friday between the hours of 6.30am to 5.30pm, and on Saturdays between the hours of 6.30am to 3.00pm. On rare occasions we may have to work on a Sunday to complete essential work.
  • We expect the work to take about 13 weeks to complete, subject to favourable weather and on-site conditions.
  • The work has no impact on current water, power and sewer services.
  • This work will impact on traffic movements at the Avonside Drive and Linwood Avenue intersection. The Traffic Management Plan for this area also includes works that are being undertaken by another contractor.
  • Resident only access will be provided where there are road closures.
  • We understand that the traffic management is complicated, if you would like assistance interpreting this please phone us on 0800 400 310.
  • The work may result in increased dust, noise and vibration.
  • Safety is our number one priority. Safety is your responsibility too.
  • Stay clear and stay alert – keep children and pets at a safe distance.
  • We will endeavour to keep any disruption to a minimum. We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we do this work.
  • As a part of this work, access to properties along Woodham Road will be maintained but may be limited for periods of time. Please contact us on the number shown below if you have specific access requirements that we need to consider e.g., the arrival of Nurse Maude, Meals on Wheels etc.
