Works Status

Works are continuing to make permanent repairs to the wastewater network in Dallington. This first stage of works is now expected to be completed by August 2012.

  • Work has been completed in Moyna Avenue [1], Achilles Street [2] and Gayhurst Road [3] (between Mundys Road and Coopers Road).
  • Current works in Gayhurst Road [4] (between Birchfield Avenue and McBratneys Road) are due to be completed by the end of March 2012.
  • Current works south of Gayhurst Road [5] are due to be completed by mid May 2012.
  • Current works in Birchfield Avenue [6] are due to be completed by the end of April 2012.
  • Works in Bideford Place [7] were due to begin on 12 March 2012, this will most likely now be 19 March 2012. This is due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Works in Claydon Place and on Gayhurst Road (between Coopers and Birchflield Avenue) are due to begin around mid April 2012.
  • Over the coming months future works in this area will include McBratneys Road (east), Gayhurst Road (between Coopers and Strathfield), Barclay Place, Strathfield Avenue, Coopers Road (remaining portion) and the installation of a new pump station to service this catchment on Gayhurst Road.
  • Prior to the above future work in this area commencing specific work notices will be distributed to immediately affected residents.
  • This will work will also involve some roading, we will advise residents directly when roading works will be taking place.
  • There will also be a second stage of wastewater repairs as part of this work in Dallington where more streets will be added. We will notify residents when we have further information on which streets this will include.

  • All works are subject to favourable weather and on site conditions.

  • During the period of construction, we ask that you observe special cordons around construction areas for you and your family's safety.
