About Recover Canterbury

Please Note: Recover Canterbury will close on April 30th 2013

Recover Canterbury provides a free service supporting earthquake-affected businesses in the Canterbury region.  Established after the earthquakes, the organisation is tasked with accelerating business recovery and preparing businesses for future growth.

Recover Canterbury offers a wide range of services and resources to businesses including providing advice, assistance with business issues such as raising capital or insurance, referrals to professional services and access to training and mentoring.  Recover Canterbury can also help eligible businesses access financial assistance from the Canterbury Business Recovery Trust, which provides cash injections into strong but earthquake-affected businesses to ensure firstly their survival and subsequently their revival.  Since its inception the Trust has distributed more than $2.8 million to around 200 Canterbury businesses.

With 25 business recovery coordinators, the Recover Canterbury team has a huge collective knowledge and background in the commercial business sector.  They understand the challenges businesses are facing and can add real value to a business by working one-to-one with a business owner to ensure they have the support they need so their business can survive and prosper.
