Aranui

Aranui is a part of Christchurch that has also suffered great damage. After the first big earthquake in September Aranui suffered extensive damage to infrastructure which left thousands of homes here without water and power.

Power was restored quickly but it was weeks before water returned. And again in the February Aranui has been hit harder. The roads in places are impassable, the water is nowhere to be seen, they don’t have sewage either and power is only just been restored in March. There are many many people who have left the suburb as they do not feel safe as looting in this area seems to be a problem and some people don’t feel safe.

Below are a list of works notices that are specific to Aranui, you can full a full list of Road and Work notices for Christchurch here.
