The Tunnel Road off-ramp to Bridle Path Road was closed for 10 days, with buses having to detour. The historic Valley Inn on Flavell Street has been badly damaged. Part of Marsden Street is closed as a construction crew works on the building. Other houses have lost chimneys and old brick fences.

After February 22nd there was bad damage to all the roads and many houses suffered substantial structual damage. Rocks fell from the port hills and landed on the road below and into some of the houses in this area
