Use land wisely. Don't drown fertile soil with a rowing course, use badly damaged land. Otherwise ex ideas. Revert to earlier use of land eg market gardens, farmers markets. Wld love a bluebell wood

Extend Burwood Park to include Horseshoe Lake Reserve and both sides of Avon. Use for cultural (summer concerts by the Avon) and sporting activities, also market gardening, urban forest, river park.

I would like to see the whole area turned into a forest lake reserve with walking tracks and a music stage. Like Brooklands park in New Plymouth.
