Murray Aynsley

All of the double brick heritage homes in Murray Aynsley have been severely damaged and cannot be repaired. Ansley on Ansley Terrace, Riverlaw on the terrace, the two further up on Centaurus, another two with access off Anysley Terrace, two on Rapaki Road and three on Montgomery including the Rhodes Homestead (turret house) which completely imploded.

All occupants of all houses are Ok to my knowledge. Glenelg Health Camp badly damaged. Many other homes in the area with varying degrees of damage. Water on a few days ago. Roadways have holes and cracks through them and land slippage is a concern. The reservoir on top of Murray Aynsley has leaked all it’s water down into the Armstrongs quarry (accessible from the Hillsborough side). The quarry is extremely dangerous, with many many large rocks splitting off from the cliff face.
