A number of public buildings remain restricted with several rows of shops on the Main North Road being sectioned off. There is no road damage, while the Northlands shopping centre, is coming back online, The Hoyts Cinema suffered 1 million of damage and was reopened 3 months after the earthquake.
Many buildings in this area are only just starting to be pulled down 5 months on with some buildings on the corner of Papanui Road and Harewood Road still in their damaged state as they were after the September Quake.
