I am finally moving forward with my repairs.
It has only taken three years with EQC being the most horrible organisation to work with. In contrast my Insurance company was easy to deal with.
What I have learnt is that when I was assessed as overcap EQC passed me onto the insurance company. They then wanted to do their own scope because EQC did not release any information to them.
I made a stink about this and sent EQC a letter to release to me all of my information. Once this happened I was able to hand the information to the insurer. What I learnt is that the insurer is unable to ask you to do this, and EQC are unable to prompt it all because of privacy worries.
Take the step if you haven't and get your information so that its not duplicated.
I hope this helps
